The Spark

The spark of the Godly
is within.
Inside.
you.

It lies in stones,
hearts,
eyes
and stems.
Everywhere.
Like stars
in the night,
germs
in the earth,
buds
in the wood.

Either you make it burn
and grow
in the dark
or it dies.

Help it shine
and light
will come
to you!

But if you go
it goes with you.
Unless you leave
some glimmerings behind.
So the fire
you intend to throw
into time
will brighten
your now.
